Yash Bavadiya
Developer Relations Engineer
Calls 7pm to midnight, Jodhpur time. A message here reaches me fastest.
I'm a Developer Relations Engineer at Workers IO (YC F26) and a computer science student at IIT Jodhpur. This summer I shipped three features into KDE Kdenlive as a Google Summer of Code contributor.
Most of what I build is for other developers. HatchZip, the newest, extracts huge archives in place, so a 180 GB download only needs room for what's inside it. Its launch post passed 1.7 million views and it has 2,485 stars. Breakscale, a system design simulator, crossed 1,000 GitHub stars in its first week and has 1,976 stars now, and Gyotaku makes every screenshot you've taken searchable by the text inside it (378 stars). Smaller experiments live in my lab.
Work
04- Leading developer relations at Workers IO, a YC F26 startup. A founder reached out after seeing Breakscale, and the offer came 10 days after the repo went up. I never applied.
- Writing technical posts on system design, deterministic simulation testing and post-mortems of classic distributed systems failures, published under my own byline.
- Building tools and extending Breakscale to show engineers how simulation testing changes software reliability, rather than just describing it.

- Kdenlive (GSoC '26)GSoC 2026 contributor for Kdenlive, the open source video editor.
- PhotonA nanosecond-scale NASDAQ ITCH 5.0 feed handler and matching engine in C++20, with zero-copy parsing, a lock-free SPSC ring, busy-polled UDP multicast, and per-symbol order books.
